Queen's Award for Enterprise

Sciencesoft directors Dr Lindsay Wood and Dr Angela Wood travelled to London recently for a royal reception at Buckingham Palace to honour recipients of The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

The Queen hosted the reception for a large group of award winners from all over the UK.

Sciencesoft’s success in exports was recognised earlier this year when the company was named in The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for International Trade.

John Logie Baird Award

In 2011 the company's passion for innovation was rewarded with a prestigious award.

Sciencesoft was named as a recipient of one of the John Logie Baird Awards for Impact Through  Innovation. The award was presented to Lindsay and William by John Logie Baird’s grandson, Iain Logie Baird, who came over from Canada especially for the occasion.

The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate innovation by encouraging the commercial exploitation of Scotland’s intellectual community.
