S3GRAF

Overview

S3GRAF-3D is the powerful add-on module for S3GRAF which enables 3D visualisation and analysis of reservoir simulator models.

It is both easy-to-use and flexible in that it supports the widest range of simulators in the market, including Eclipse, CMG, VIP, Streamlines (FrontSim and 3DSL), UTCHEM and many more.

Within S3GRAF-3D there are many advanced features and functions, enabling the reservoir engineer to quickly define and focus on regions of interest. Multiple views can be displayed on-screen simultaneously, from multiple simulators, for rapid analysis and decision making.

User-Defined Regions

S3GRAF-3D allows the engineer to create several user-definable functions - regions, threshold, grip clip and isosurfaces. All of these can be combined to closely examine an area of the model. Volumetric calculations can be performed on these regions, as well as on the field as a whole.

User-defined regions and properties can be exported and edited for re-introduction to the simulator model.

Advanced 3D Visualisation

S3GRAF-3D contains many techniques for visualising the 3D model. Multiple grid models can be displayed and also linked together for common editing. Tools such as fence plot, cut plane and thresholding allow the engineer to view sub-sets of cells. Using DirectX technology, models can be exploded into individual layers for simultaneous viewing. All of this is done quickly and in a straightforward manner, making S3GRAF-3D easy-to-use and intuitive.
